Nationwide, it's gone into liquidation.

We were in the Meadowmall one 2 days ago and saw something we wanted and then today it's gone.

Now where am I supposed to buy my pointless, space-wasting, planet-resource-consuming tat?

It is quite sad about Gadget shop. I remember the first shop that opened as it was in Princess Quay in Hull where I am from. The guy who started it is from the Hull area too. I guess it would have been hit really hard as t'internet got more and more popular. They sell exactly the same tat you can get much cheaper online.

'Must Have It' (similar to gadget shop) has also gone from Meadowhall.

I think the Gadget Shop was a victim of its own success. The concept of 'useless tat that you can't live without' has become so successful that they couldn't compete in the market they created.

The Gadget Shop is dead. Long live the gadget shop!

Their corporate website has been announcing the group was to go into administration.

'seen it about 4 weeks ago.

Sad... Still, shops with a name .com in it never last long ;)
How long ago was the rebranding ?

I've known that the gadget shop has been in liquidation for a few months now - having a business means you get to know all this stuff beforehand!

Why did you not tell the staff at Graftons Bakery then, who closed it's doors last week?.

And the employees did not get paid.

Doubt it. They used to do a nice line in lie detectors

I heard about it a few weeks ago but didn't pay much attention to when the stores would be closing.
