I think people should know of the awful service!
My gf bought a pair of fish from this place (only £2 each) but nonetheless was sold with white spot - Which has resulted in them dying.
To double up on this query - now that all my fish are dead how long is it before I can add new fish to the tank (fresh water applied for obvious reasons).

Oh dear that's such a shame, I'm sorry I don't know about the water etc...but have you told the garden centre about the fish? just so that they know that there is a problem with the fish.

****** used to be a great place to buy from. white spot isn't nesccerarly their fault it could come from the stock they are buying in.

They are still knowingly selling it - therefore still guilty. I don't profess to be a fish expert but it was my gf's idea to get the fish in. What if these fish were for children? I doubt it would go down well.....or should I say float around!

I think the fish business is a risk take, personally i think ***** has got alot better, the guys are really helpful and have never sold a sick fish to me. . . . Dont let one bad experience put you off, the fish are fairly priced and i personally think the quality is fine!
The point im trying to put across is that with fish you can buy a perfectly healthy one and it could die from your poor water quality/ lack of knowledge etc
Whitespot can break out in the bag on the way home!
As for your fish now. . . up the temp no more than 31, if nothing breaks out. . dont treat if it does either use tonic salt or methane blue should sort it ;)
good luck in the future of fish keeping
Sarah :)

It is also worth setting up an isolation tank for any new fish for a week or so then any problems can be spotted/treated before infecting your main tank

Next time your in ***** take a look in between the tanks. If you look closely in the cracks you'll see some thing very nasty.
I've not been back since - disgusting!

Omg what a pointless comment!
Isnt it whats in the tanks that really matters!?
For tom to loose ALL his fish from abit of whitespot, im afraid to say that sounds like a lack of knowledge and poor water to start with!
And from trying to make the fish shop look bad too is just really dumb

I'm not talking bits of fluff and dust here...
In between the tanks its full of dead (and dying) fish just scooped out and left to rot.
I'm not making the shop look bad - it does a good job of that itself!
Take a look next time you're there...
