That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. A malevolent giant octopus attacks parliament, steals pensioners' cash and Rusty Lee (of 80s breakfast cookery fame, now a UKIP candidate) does her famous laugh. For no apparent reason other than to remind people who she is.
And the leader, Roger Knapman... His lips don't move when he speaks! He's one scary man.
Heard their radio broadcast about this time last night, it was awful. So many sound effects and bizarre things going on in the background that you couldn't hear a word of what they were saying.
By all means be 'innovative' but don't forget that people still need to hear it... :loopy:

For a party who is anti Europe they don’t seem to have any qualms about stealing a German anti-socialist propaganda campaign for their election material. I was given a UKIP leaflet of this octopus with EU written on it getting it’s tentacles into Schools, factories etc etc Exactly the same as an anti -socialist poster except in the German case the word Communist was written on said beast.

There are occasional disadvantages in not owning a tv set - seems I've missed a good comedy programme! Don't suppose they do repeats?

It is being repeated a few times on different channels this evening, and afterwards it will apparently be available to view on the UKIP website.

Have you noticed how you never see Rusty Lee and Frank Bruno in the same scene :suspect:

I thought it was a ****-take of an original UKIP broadcast, until I found out that this was the official one! Unbelievable!

Just seen the broadcast, a spoof on H G Well's War of the Worlds. What a load of tosh!
I think UKIP made a big mistake in asking Reeves and Mortimer to write the broadcast.
I wouldn't be surprised if lawyers for British Airways had a word with UKIP as the party superimposed their slogans on what appeared to be the London Eye. Portraying an octopus on top of the Houses of Parliament is probably okay as it is a publicly-owned building but the London Eye is private property and whilst an international business like an airline may be happy with it being featured prominently in the first episode of the new series of Doctor Who it may not be happy with it being featured in a party political broadcast (and particularly one for an anti-EU party).
