Went into The Monk last night as we could not think of anywhere else in town to watch the football (we now know of others) and I could not believe how manky it has become.

The sofas are on their last legs, there are holes in the ceiling and it smelt horrible in there.

Anyone else think it is in urgent need of a refurb? Can't understand why they have not done it while the students have gone home.

last went in there about 4 weeks ago and the mens toilets smelled absolutely rancid

Some of the sofas have been like that for ages, called in at 4 yesterday for a game of pool, there was about 3 people in there including staff.

The Old Monk near the library.
Loos are usually 2-3cm deep, the whole place is filthy, floors are disgusting and it stinks. Best avoided.
