Most of my Blades mates are going to Blackpool next week and i saw a lot of mini bus trip being arranged in the boozers around the ground yesterday.
The vast majority don't have tickets but i reckon its going to be a bit of a Blades day on the Golden Mile next week.

Cheers hun, i had a fantastic day ;) apart from taking 3 1/2 hours to get there and 3 1/2 hours to get back on the coach  :loopy:
Bloomfield road is a **** ground and reminds me of Worksop's ground but the Blades fans made sure there was a cracking atmosphere and did us proud

glad to hear you had a good time, daughter, and that we got a win! Up the blades!
I was disappointed not to go, but the prices were just extortionate.
The robbing sods at Blackpool were even charging the disabled supporters £11 to take their carers in with them, when most grounds comply with the FA's recommendation that, under the DDA, they should not charge.

That's a disgrace.

That's a disgrace.
Can I also point out that it was £11 on top of what they've paid for their OWN ticket, incidentally!!!
yeah, I thought it was more than a bit naughty, TBH.
I was disgusted. I've been up and down the country with my ex hubby, following the Mighty Blade:- as far south as Portsmouth, and Brighton, as far west as Cardiff, to , Norwich and Ipswich, in the east, Sunderland, Middlesboro'. etc, etc. I can't recall any other ground charging for the disabled supporters' carers, in all the time I've been going to away matches.
I think it was a ploy, by the hole that is Blackpool FC, to make as much money as possible out of us, knowing that we are the best supported team in the Champ', home or away, knowing that they'll fill the away end, regardless.
it'd be interesting to see what they charge the Owls (or other teams) when they go there:-
a) whether they charge the same, stupid prices, to them, and
b) whether their disabled away supporters are also charged stupid money to bring an escort/carer.

dont know about long into the night. was well and truelly tucked up for midnight. took some stick coming home in minibus this morning as being a bit of a lightweight as most of them come in at 3 bells. in my defence tho met up with an old mate before the game who's lived in blackpool for the last 4 years so did some catching up with him. then after the game straight back in pub at 5 bells whilst most of them went back to hotel to shower and gell their hair like girls and did'nt come out till gone 7.
