She might be 70, but he's 77! I remember reading about this at the time the babies were born. It seemed it was all to do with the old man's desire to be seen to be able to produce a son to inherit. lol, inherit what? A subsistence patch of land with a massive mortgage. I hope he thinks it was worth it when he grows up, although the gift of life is always worth having, I suppose, no matter how disadvantaged you appear to be.
Personally, I'm not sure that anyone over 50 should be producing offspring, male or female, especially when they have to use medical intervention to do so. Nothing to do with anything other than the age factor. In this case, reading between the lines, the children might even turn out not to be genetically related to either of the parents. Which would be quite sad, really, after all the trouble and expense they've gone to, to get them.

Lol how dare you! :hihi::hihi:
But I do agree, its unfair that the girl is seen as a burden and the boy is what they wanted.. The bit where it says they can't screen embryo's for gender where they're from, isn't it a good job or there would be no girls!

I don't think the boy is going to have such an easy life either. What with parents old enough to be his great grandparents, a massive mortgage on a subsistance 'farm' and two sisters old enough to be his grandparents, and a twin sister to look after ... and all those expectations riding on his tiny shoulders, and they give him a comedy hat to wear as well. Poor little mite!
Maybe Bradelina and Madonna should enter a bidding war for the little girl ... :)
Bear in mind that the world's oldest natural mother was only 11 years younger than this mother. She was 59 when she gave birth - a British woman. No fertility treatment at all as it was an 'accident'.
