Basically, I went away last week and had a little too much fun. As a result I now only have just over £5 to last me till a week on monday. Oops!
As I live on my own, I tend to buy stuff and and freeze it into individual portions until I need it so I have a fair bit in the freezer. But I am limited in both time and imagination (I've work just over 30hrs and had about 8 hours sleep since thursday morning) and so need some help.
I have
Meat - chicken fillets, mince, turkey steak, sausages, tinned tuna
Veg - spinach, kidney beans, lentils, onions, mushrooms, garlic, a variety of frozen herbs and about 20 cans of chopped tomatoes(the basis of most sauces I make)
Plus rice and pasta, some questionable looking oven chips, a little bit of couscous, red pepper pesto and some sundried tomato and basil marind-y thing.
So can anyone help me come up with some ideas to feed myself over the next week?
Would be eternally grateful...

Have you got any spices? If so I can see a chicken and spinach curry in there, and a chilli con carne. Oh and you could probably whip up a variation on chicken chasseur minus the wine.
How about a good old spag bol? Always nice and can be more than one meal. I'd also use the basil and sundried tom or the pesto with the chicken and garlic and serve it with couscous. And use the turkey steak and lentils for curry? I've used sausages before with pasta, cooked the sausages, fried some onion with it, added a tin of tom to the pan, splash of hendos and reduce with some nice fresh herbs like basil.
Do you have eggs and cheese? My mum used to do an oven baked tuna, rice, onion thing which is quite nice, here's the 'recipe':
4 beaten eggs
1 can of tuna
4 or 5 heaped tablespoons of mayonnaise
a cup and a half of leftover cooked rice
1 medium onion chopped
200ml milk
a bit of grated cheese
a bit of mustard and any herbs you fancy
Preheat oven gas mark 5/190C. Mix everything in an oven proof shallowish dish and sprinkle some grated cheese over the top. Bake in the oven for 20-30 mins until set. Nice with a salad, served hot or cold. You could probably replace the rice with cooked pasta as well.
Now I'm hungry! :D

Make a bit pot of tomatoe sauce: onions, garlic, sundried toms, mushrooms, tomatoe ketchup or puree, spoon of balsamic vinegar if you've got some, 3 times tomatoes. Make sauce as if making a bolog sauce but without mince. Refrigerate: use sauce to make base for chilli, bol, curry, meatballs using the sausages and add spices/herbs as appropriate.
Could easily feed you for a week using that lot just adding staples such as rice, pasta, potatoes. Enjoy
