Get down to the Classic Rock on Ecclesall Rd. Be lots of people there to tell you.

There's one in Broomhill that sells lots of vinyl - dunno if they'll have what you're looking for?

I don't know what it's called but it's diagonally opposite the Somerfield on the main shopping bit.

Noise Annoys on Howard Street, next to the Howard Pub specialise in rock, AOR, metal and imports. Never been but they are supposed to be quite good.

For new (not secong-hand), Virgin, on Fargate - They'll get you anything that's still available.

You don't even have to go to the store - you can order by phone.

It has to be Spin CIty on Westfield Terrace. Its the only proper record shop that the city centre has got. U name it theyve got it.

Theirs a new shop on the peace gardens next to Ha ha but i think that is mostly punk and Lame-o, plus I've forgotten their name. Hidden records or underground shop no one knows about, something like that.

Spin City has a surprisingly wide selection of rock

Definitely a tie between Record Collector in Broomhill and the wonderful Rare'n'Racy on Division Street for the sort of stuff I listen to, with Fopp coming in a close third.

After that it gets a bit deprressing though. HMV, Virgin etc. Jack's records on Division St which seems to have downsized dramatically now it's in that little yard place. There are (or maybe by now, were) a couple of second hand places on Ecclesall Road too. Haven't been into Spin City records or that place that's upstairs in Orchard Square. After that I'm really struggling.

HMV and virgin etc are only good if your rich or the stuff you want is on sale... as generally they're WELL over priced...

shop on the tinternet mate, www.101cd.com is the bee's knees for CD's, theres quite a few more that are good too...

the shop in broomhill is the bomb though, I got quite a few CD's from there when I went to Tapton 6th Form :D

Record collector - bought a couple of imports there for about half the price of what they were being sold in the big stores :)

Without doubt it has to be Record Collector.

Each time I go, what I hope to be a quick 15 minute visit always turns into an epic 2 hour session involving a full floor to ceiling scan of the secondhand section!

My most favourite shop in Sheffield.

They've moved down to that little square across from Frog and Parrot - where Raquetts is.
