I know ideally I should be getting a bigger one but don't really have enough space for anything larger, they do get time in run each day, weather permitting, so assumed 4ft will be ok.
Have had a look on few websites and in pets at home as well but I would like one that I can get a waterproof cover to fit for rainy days, I will probably put them back in cage indoors in winter though, so just need cover to protect from summer showers.
I am slightly worried about the double decker kinds with the ramp, are these safe, do the piggies not fall off ramp?
I like the look of this one from Pets at home but think it is a bit smaller than 4ft http://www.petsathome.com/find/keyword-is-rabbit+hutch/product-is-13205, would this be ok for 2 piggies?
I am going to go to the pet shop at Meadowhall retail park tonight and see what they have got.
Any advice would be great, thanks.
When I go to the 'small animal stuff' warehouse I always see more plastic outside hutches then wooden ones. I'm told it's because they don't rot and don't harbour so many nasties.
I don't know much about piggies and things but for rabbits I belive an adaquate hutch should allow 4 consecutive hops and allow the bunny to stand up.

Where is the "small animal stuff warehouse"?

Maybe but I am a bit scared of the double ones, are the piggies ok with the ramps?

Ours live in a double and they have no problem with the ramp at all, especially when it comes to putting them out in the run each day, they run up and down it so fast when we are trying to catch them:hihi:

Hi Rainbow Sky,
We've put our piggies in a two tier hutch and they haven't worked out how to use the ramp yet.
One fell through the hole to the lower floor and couldn't work out how to get back up.
They're all on the top level now but haven't discovered downstairs yet!

I think thats what is putting me off, incase they fall through hole or off ramp.
I think I would prefer a single but haven't got room for more than 4ft.

Personally I'd never use ramps for that reason. Have a look at zooplus, they've got some good deals on at the moment, or failing that ebay :)

I have used zooplus before, thats where I got there indoor cage from. I liked this hutch that they do http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_hutches/natura/14086
but I don't think the section on the left (bit with water bottle) opens, I think it is only the sleeping area and the roof, so might make it a bit tricky for cleaning out.
What do you think of this one http://www.ideas-4-pets.com/pages-productinfo/product-1682/rabbitshack-rabbitshack-deluxe-single-hutch-rs101-r-s.html. Rabbit shack appear to be a good make and they do waterproof covers to fit.
