View Full Version : When do kittens need their 1st injections? GSi-Jonny 14-08-2008, 16:29 Any ideas? Thanks :) medusa 14-08-2008, 16:42 If they're strong and healthy and have weaned properly so they're growing fast, then first vaccinations are around 9 weeks, with the second 15-22 days after that. If they're a little slower growing, or have had flu, enteritis or any other veterinary treatment which means that they're still recovering from being sick then their first vaccinations may be delayed by any amount of time, from weeks to months. It's important that the kittens don't go out until they've been covered by their jabs (although they really shouldn't be out at that age anyway because it's all a bit risky for them) and that they don't meet adult unvaccinated cats either, so the sooner you can get them covered the better. |
