Has anyone ever tried these? I am thinking of trying them for Pee and Kira, but they are quite expensive so I need to know that they work well...and particularly that they are not easy for the dog to get off :suspect:

Heres the website if anyone fancies a look :) http://www.dogmatic.org.uk/

Yes- Molly has one. She hates it, but it does the job and there's not even a hint of pulling whilst she has it on. She hasn't yet managed to get it off (and she's a furry Houdini with harnesses and the like) and the only down sides that I can see are that she can't quite open her mouth wide enough to carry her large ball on a string and she catches it on branches and twigs whilst having a snuffle round in the undergrowth if we're playing.

They're very adjustable and don't ride up- just be aware that their sizings are quite generous. Molly has a size smaller than the one that they state for GSDs and it's got plenty of space and holes left on the straps.

I think that katkin uses one for Ailsa too.

Hi Jill, we bought them for Boo ,Charlie and Barney on Lottie's recommendation. They are fantastic! Well worth the money. I can now walk all 3 dogs on my own without them pulling. Before I was struggling to walk one at a time as they pulled so much.

Sounds good... I am going to go for size one anyway as Kira and Pee are not very big really, if thats too big I've had it :hihi:

Gawd aren't they a nightmare? when you have several dogs they really do have to walk well and I have 4 :hihi:
As things are it's just not fair on anyone, them pulling and being giddy is hurting my hands and arms (I have some arthritis in them) so I am hating walks now where I used to enjoy them :(
Also the older dogs are not enjoying walks now either as they sense that I'm grumpy with the little un's so they are lagging behind and feeling miserable bless em... something has to change :help:

We opted for the fabric ones, with a great result - you can even choose what colour you want!! The dogs were trying to rub their noses along the grass to start off with as we had tried haltis and gentle leaders with them before, which sometimes came off, they didn't work anywhere near as efficiently as the Dogmatics!

I was wondering about the fabric ones, it says that they wipe clean but do you think that they would wash ok in the washing machine?
I think I might get the red one for Kira with her being black.

Yes, stick them in a delicates bag in the washer and they come up fine. Molly loves muddy things so all of her stuff has to be washable. Her EzyDog harnesses and leads get chucked in the washer too.

Thank you...one other thing that I was wondering too, does the halter attach to the dogs ordinary collar in any way? because some of the pictures the dogs appear to have an attachment of some sort.

Not that I have seen. Molly's is secure enough that this has never been an issue and I've never felt the need to have a lead on her collar too- just on the head collar is secure enough.

EDIT- actually, from looking at the website, you could have been looking at a dog that's wearing a matching collar because they do sell them to match.
