Hi all
I have a samsung 1gb usb pen drive, that has a password protected area. On xp, i click this file. UDP V265. and enter my password in box provided.

When i click on this file using vista, a prompt box comes up saying "please insert device and run as privileged user". and nothing happens. I am logged on as administrator. So any ideas what i need to do to access my locked files.

Have you tried right clicking the drive in my computer ans selecting "run as administrator" ?

Also have you got UAC (user account control) turned off ?

yes and no. looking on the net its summat to do with local computer policy. whatever that is.

Has anyone ever come across this message?
