I've played a few games of squash in the past (and I really mean A FEW, this is not false modesty) and would like to take it up more regularly. I'm looking for someone who would be interested in playing regularly, but who was also able to give some informal coaching - or at least be patient with the fact that I'm a beginner who wants to learn and improve. I'm 35, and reasonably physically fit.

I'd be happy to cover the cost of court hire. I'm based in Greystones, so I think venue wise it would either be the Goodwin Centre or I'm going to have to pay lots of money to join the Hallamshire.

Hi there,
I would be more than happy to give you a few games and any coaching that you may need. Although I am not a qualified coach in any way, I have been playing squash for about ten years so think that I can teach you all you need to know about squash. I won't be back in sheffield until term starts, at the end of september, but would definitly be up for some squash when i'm back. I'll be sure to pm you once im back in shef and we can arrange a game & a bit of coaching.

Cheers
Stewart

NGAP if you are interested in trying out the hallamshire, they do welcome guests. I went there for the club evenings about 3/4 times and it didnt cost me anything, although technically it's meant to be 5 pound a visit. The hallamshire is only good if you are already at a fairly high level, as everyone I played there gave me a decent game. For someone starting out, it is probably best to try and get a few games in and see if the person you are playing can give you any pointers.
