OK baby waxy hasnt shown much interest in toys yet, but given that she is only 9 weeks old this is no surprise. Anyway I have been looking at those tummy tub baths for babies like these -

but decided that they were a bit expensive for a tub so, we went to b&q and bought this

So given that i saved quite a few pounds on our super bucket. (It was 98p )I though i would buy some rubber ducks. I picked some up in poundland and she has been hypnotised by them ever since. They are now hanging from a piece of string from the ceiling above her moses basket, Still in their net bag. :loopy: That has to be the cheapest baby entertainer ever apart from the legendery cardboard box.

Make sure you take some pics of baby waxy in the bucket - you and her can have a good chuckle about it when she's older.

In our household blank/duff DVDs are in abundance because my partner is a wedding videographer and bulk buys them at wholesale prices (literally pence per disc). Baby Alien has always been obsessed with them and loves them as mirrors/mobile etc. Now that he's 1 he's also taught himself how to put them in and out of the DVD player and Playstation, lol! He'll be putting his Teletubbies and Pingu DVDs on himself soon! :D

Our lad loves nothing better than some junk mail or an old (or even new and unread....grrrr) newspaper to rip up. I like cheap toys like this ;)

He also amused himself with a sliver of grated cheese the other day for a while, and he likes attacking my hand and laughs hysterically when I slap my fingers on the sofa in front of him! He likes 'junk' too, such as paper cups, old lids, toilet roll tubes and boxes.

so you would recommend this? i was looking into it and thought about just buying a bucket but couldnt find one wide enough!

we have a seat for the bath but means you have to fill the big bath for him which is such a waste of water.. i may pop along to B&Q later:hihi::hihi:

Definatley! The bucket was just nice size to make him feel secure, and for the length of time he was using it it wouldn't have been worth paying £20 odd quid for one of the proper baths.

Definatly do it. The b&q bucket is the perfect size and at 98p worth it even if you only use it to collect their mucky washing in. Its a lot less back ache then filling and emptying a baby bath and the slippery little buggers feel more secure. :hihi: Emily loves it in hers. Even the bigger ones can use it to bath in when we go camping if i forget the paddling pool lol. :D

I had a baby bath that fitted over the bath so no back break there. Got it out of a general auction. If you are looking for equipment an auction can be useful place as the bath cost £1. On the topic of peculiar toys my youngest was fond of a margerine tub lid for a while. Have no idea why he liked it.
