Does anyone know whats happening to the footpath in front of the shops its been dug up for weeks now and does not seem to be getting any further? just wondered if they were making more parking places etc., looks a right mess!!

Stocksbridge Pride is the name of the project.

The refurbishment will-
concentrate on the precinct area, providing new paving, landscaping, seating area and a much needed (and requested) zebra crossing will be installed, central to the precinct. Whilst some disruption will be apparent during the course of the work it is anticipated that it will all have been worthwhile by its completion.


Ps when the workmen first started on this project the entire shopping precinct was left without power, as the men cut through an electricity cable.
Needless to say the shop owners etc were very angry at losing hours of business.
so they each put a big poster up with an arrow leading to the workmen, saying "Its their fault."
