Does anyone have any info on what was happening on Abbydale Road opposite Millhouses park tonight approx 9pm?

There was a police car blocking the road and signs advising that the road was closed due to an accident. You could see up the road but couldnt see any other vehicles or anything else happening.

All the cars were doing u-turns back towards Dore station.

no I only came back that way from Tesco's earlier tonight..I hope no-one died or seriously injured :|

i went past later and there was a motorbike smashed up on the road and the police were hosing down the road. so i guess there was a serious accident

We drove down there around 8 o'clock and there was nothing.

The Dronfield bypass was closed south bound around 8:30 though, but there was an accident on there last night and it's possible they were dragging the lorry back onto the road.

Ive not seen anything on the news.
I fear it may have been very serious as I haven't encountered Accident investigators at normal "bumps" or "shunts".

Especially if a motorbike was involved, I hope whoever was involved will be OK.

Many years ago I was hit by an ambulance, and although no one was hurt, the full accident investigation team came out because it involved a public service vehicle. It closed the road for about 3-4 hours.

no not seen any news storys about it but it was a friend of my dads apparantly it was at the bottom of dobcroft road and it was a biker, not sure how it happened yet but will let you know when i find out

page 3 evening star 29th says biker and passenger both injured but doesnt mention either of them been fatal
