Do you guys no longer walk on a Thursday evening? I was looking forward to joining you all this Thursday - I'm at a bit of a loose end. Not been out for a while & need to get my life back on track.

Hi Yogi,

we've not been doing many Thursday evening walks because a lot of our regular walkers have been on holidays, and to some extent because of the rather uncertain weather. We have had walks where only a couple of people have turned out.

Thursdays were always planned as additional ad-hoc type walks to be taken in nice sunshine on long summer evenings. The Sunday walks are really the mainstay and we will do these come rain or shine.

I think we may be planning a few Thursday walks over the next few weeks before the evenings really start to pull in and these will be posted in a new thread.

Can you make our Sunday walks this weekend?

Hi Logie Baird, ermm I mean Yogi Bear :huh: (forgive me for this slip, just uncanny how much alike the names sound!) I'm afraid the lack of Thursday walks is mostly my fault. As the summer has worn on, I've become more interested in the drink at the end of the walk than the walk itself. This has resulted in the walks getting shorter, and the drinks part getting longer to the extent where the walks lately have been just to the bar and back! Sorry.
Might sort something out soon for both you, and your alter ego, if I can get on the wagon.

No I can't really get on Sunday walks, unless I sneak out. Looking for something midweek to get me away from those fast food outlets & get a little fitter. Look forward to details of future walks, maybe see you all before the nights draw in.

I too am hoping some Thursday walks are organised before the cold dark nights start drawing in, preferably with pub stops at the finish
