Parka keeps sticking his mouth in Duffles and licking her mouth, what the hell is this all about, looks like they are french kissing and it sounds disgusting.

Is it cause she has new teeth coming through so her mouths a bit raw?

Bloody weird if you ask me.

I have been told in the past that its what they do to bond, especially with younger and older dogs together, they will sometimes put all their head into anothers mouth.

Usually it would be a younger dog, or a new dog that was trying to gain approval that was licking the lips of the other dog - never heard of putting their head into another's mouth to bond, woodywoo?

I reckon it's her teeth, personally... Takara is always licking Eddy's eyes because they weep and Eddy in return cleans her ears out (yep - tongue right down her ear yuk!) because she has sore ears that get dirty a lot.

My Pups do it too, always thought it was a bonding thing :)

I always thought it was to encourage the other dog to regurgatate food. Like pups doing it to the mother in the wild???

That's where the idea of 'submissive' dogs doing it 'dominant' dogs comes from Jess... a pup is dependent on it's mother and so licking lips (as I had heard it, not the inside of the mouth) is seen to be a sign of dependence and therefore inferiority... did that make any sense at all??

Well its utterly gross imo, they are basically french kissing and its wrong, plus the slurping noise thats created by it makes me wretch.

I hope its just her teeth and not a permenant thing, she looks hilarious though with no fangs, thank god those puppy teeth have gone for good!
