what a stupid thread im telling myself, but as it is starting to rain , im am now having to re-think the shoes i was going to go out in, or am i?

Thing is since i was little my mum has said that suede cant get wet. ive just stopped to think about that, is it actually true? what happens if you do?!!!

Ive got suede protector spray on the boots in question...but...what to do!!!

excuse my spelling of suede if its not right! doesnt look it! remnids me of that yello ish vegetable swede!

A minute ago it was 'spitting' now its nearly torrential!! Great.

a little damn doesn't seem to hurt it.
but if it's raining heavily i'd change your mind.

I think with suede protector on them, they'd probably just need brushing with a suede brush once dry to bring the nap back up.

Just heard thunder and lightening now.

Im about to go and pick up my new car so im very excited, this rain can not dampen my spirits!

Could be worse, could be snow!

Oh no, suede and rain do NOT mix!!

I once got caught in a downpour wearing my favourite suede shoes - they were completely ruined :(

I have a couple of suede bags, but before I go out with them, I check the weather forecast very carefully!

Check the suede protector spray your using. I know some of them provide the suede with a bit of waterproofing. :) Not sure how effective it would be in torrential rain though.

i've been caught in showers and drizzle before wearing a suede jacket, hasn't done it any harm, but the protector meant that the water sat on top of it rather than soaking in.
