D'ya know it amazes me how long these new mothers keep us waiting before posting news on here! How blummin' ignorant that they don't post 5 minute updates and then when baba actually arrives the first thing they do is bond with their little ones :hihi:

Seriously though Bobby - Hope everything has gone to plan and that you have your little bundle safely in your arms

it is very inconsiderate when we're all sat here waiting! lol but seriously, i thought id be fine after having bubs, actually it was about 2 weeks before i even had 5 minutes away from nappies, milk and visitors to turn the computer on and as for writing the full story! took me forever!

still fingers crossed though xx whether bubs is here yet or not, good luck, hope you're all ok!

.

I only just checked on here.. Thankyou for all the well wishes, I really appreciate it :D

They phoned at 11. I've got to go in on Wednesday at 6pm now. Bleedin idiots

I promise to update regularly - I'll make that internet thingy at the hospital work if its the last thing I do! *shakes fist* (if they ever decide to take me in, that is.. It says on my notes I should be induced between 38+39 weeks. As of today, I am 39+3. :| And on Wednesday, I'll be 39+5. Put kindly - if I ever have another baby, I will not have it at Jessops! )

I could have had my baby by now if they weren't such idiots. :( I want my baby!!! :hihi:

i was shocked when i saw you were the latest poster, was expecting you to be home, with baby all over and done!

can't imagine how you feel, to look forward to that date and then they change it aarrgghh! well, before you know it you'll have a 6 month old baby, messy house and wonder where the time went lol (or is that just me!?)

good luck again then for wednesday! do you know whether its a boy or girl? any names?

Sorry guys, still no news. She was in slow labour all night and was due to have her waters broken earlier. I'm hoping things are progressing well.

Hopefully my next post on this thread will be happy news at last.

Any news on how bobbybunny is doing?

BobbyBunny
16-08-2008, 18:29
Firstly thanks to Cosy for keeping u all updated as much as she could.....

Secondly..... We are back home, still don't have a baby. :gag:

Went in on wednesday, they told me the labour ward was busy so sent us up to the wards and gave us a private room so Hayley could stay with me. Told us it would be morning before they could do anything, so we settled down and tried to get some sleep about midnight.

At 2am, a MW came and said they wanted us on the labour ward so off we went. They gave me an CTG, fiddled about with my bits :hihi: and gave me my first dose of Prostin. Then sent me back to bed. Nothing happened. Lol

At 9 the next morning, they took us back to labour ward again, gave me another CTG, another dose of prostin and left me on the CTG for an hour to see if I was contracting. Started having contractions about every 3 mins each lasting a minute. Sent me back to my bed and said they might break my water next time I went down.

Had contractions all day, took me back to labour ward at 9pm, gave me another CTG (still having contractions every 3 mins) and an internal to check if they could break my waters. I'm sure that woman was trying to pull my uterus (including the baby) out of my vagina because man that hurt! Lol I was still having contractions and had a bad one while I was laid flat on my back with what felt like the MW's entire arm up there By now it was hurting pretty badly, but she said 'oh the doctor said I'm not allowed to break your water anyway because the right doctors aren't in the hospital for the baby right now.' :|

Lost my entire MP the next morning, which was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. :hihi: Have had pretty copious amounts of clear stuff coming out of there ever since.

All day yesterday we sat around waiting for someone to come and see us. That didn't happen, my contractions slowed down to about ten mins apart (they're still like that now). My consultant came to see me this morning and said 'Well you can go home until tomorrow at 8pm, when you will come in, have your waters broken at 2am and your baby will be delivered monday daytime.' I laughed and said 'if she wants to come out' and he said 'she has no choice, either she comes out or I have to cut her out.'

So, we've been in the hospital for three nights just to be sent home again because my neurosurgeon doesn't work weekends. And if my body doesn't take well to AROM and pit, I'll end up with a c-sec.

Oh, and.. Happy EDD to me.

I'm so glad to see your gorgeous little girl! You have no idea how many people, on this Forum but also away from it have been wishing you two and Tegan well and agonising over every hour of labour and waiting and the surgery.

I'd be honoured to come and see you tomorrow, but I'm afraid my OH has to rush back to work directly after our appointment with Dr F
When Tegan and you are up to it, please please please come to Jellys so we can finally meet :)

She's fabulous, Hayley! I didn't realise she would have surgery so soon, that must have been a traumatic time for you both. Lots of love from all of us and I will drop into Jellies for a peek if you go! (If that's okay!) :D XX

She had to have surgery because she has spina bifida (where the spinal cord doesn't close properly).. We'll bring her into Jellies as soon as she's healthy enough but we're not sure when she'll come home yet. She's making brilliant progress, and is having her second op on Monday.

Lol we're both staying in Treetops in the hospital but come home one night a week - we're on day release! :hihi:

T's having her surgery for her shunt tomorrow morning, and there is talk of her coming home soon. I expect we won't know she's coming home until she's coming home - with another woman on the same ward they sort of told her 3 hours before they discharged her baby. :hihi: I can't wait to bring her home.

Oh, and look at Tegan (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=53967&l=888d8&id=509531418):love: Thankyou for all the compliments :hihi: She is quite gorgeous isn't she :P
