I might have some boxes going spare. angle20 09-08-2008, 12:55 One source: www.a1box.co.uk The storage firms also sell boxes. the_rudeboy 09-08-2008, 13:13 Storage King sell them. They do packs that include different sized boxes. parcel tape and bubble wrap. Meadowhall Rd Sheffield, S9 1BW 0114 244 7374 Littlepink 09-08-2008, 13:15 Morrisons used to have empty boxes at the end of their check outs,we used those . It's been a while since we moved though so maybe they don't have the boxes there anymore? mymiyel 09-08-2008, 13:29 You could go to supermarkets and ask them for boxes. They always have loads and are usually happy to let you have a few. angle20 09-08-2008, 13:32 A snag with the supermarkets: they usually flatten boxes as soon as they've emptied them. Littlepink 09-08-2008, 13:34 A snag with the supermarkets: they usually flatten boxes as soon as they've emptied them. Morrisons left them whole but even so thick brown tape holds really well scubatony61 09-08-2008, 13:46 Morrisons used to have empty boxes at the end of their check outs,we used those . NewHall 09-08-2008, 14:55 South Yorkshire Cartons - based at High Green, Thompson Hill. They sell new and second hand cardboard boxes - I went and got a load from them when i moved house. perplexed 09-08-2008, 16:18 If you are using a removal company, many will provide the boxes for you free of charge a few days in advance...As long as they get 'em back at some point. Little Buzz 09-08-2008, 16:24 A snag with the supermarkets: they usually flatten boxes as soon as they've emptied them. You can always make them up again - when they are flattened you can fit more in the car to take home. When I move I always try and get the veg boxes that are like the olv veg boxes because they are really sturdy and stack well. That said, at our shop we throw boxes away (well, we put them in the recycling bin) most days - I'm sure if you ask most shops will have some they don't want. blazekitty 09-08-2008, 17:31 I've got loads of boxes if you want them, they are all flat but brown tape will fix that. I've been getting them ready for the next recycling day so PM me if you want them. birdsandbees 09-08-2008, 17:38 you could always ask on Sheffield freecycle as boxes are often passed around so they dont end up in landfil sushi 09-08-2008, 19:49 Go to a mcdonalds and ask if you can take some from the cardboard bins. Fry boxes are roomy and can withstand alot of weight. |
