A friend of mine is moving house and we want to know where we can get some boxes to pack her stuff up in sheffield?? Doesnt have that much to move really but not sure where to get some.

The storage firms also sell boxes.

Storage King sell them. They do packs that include different sized boxes. parcel tape and bubble wrap.

Morrisons used to have empty boxes at the end of their check outs,we used those . It's been a while since we moved though so maybe they don't have the boxes there anymore?

You could go to supermarkets and ask them for boxes. They always have loads and are usually happy to let you have a few.

They sell new and second hand cardboard boxes - I went and got a load from them when i moved house.

If you are using a removal company, many will provide the boxes for you free of charge a few days in advance...As long as they get 'em back at some point.

You can always make them up again - when they are flattened you can fit more in the car to take home.

When I move I always try and get the veg boxes that are like the olv veg boxes because they are really sturdy and stack well.

That said, at our shop we throw boxes away (well, we put them in the recycling bin) most days - I'm sure if you ask most shops will have some they don't want.

I've got loads of boxes if you want them, they are all flat but brown tape will fix that. I've been getting them ready for the next recycling day so PM me if you want them.

you could always ask on Sheffield freecycle as boxes are often passed around so they dont end up in landfil

Go to a mcdonalds and ask if you can take some from the cardboard bins. Fry boxes are roomy and can withstand alot of weight.
