What's everyone's favourite Soap Operas?

True, but I record it every day if I'm going to be out which is probably a bit more obcessed than most!

Emmerdale, it's got a little more humour than the others, but I would'nt go out of my way to watch any of them !!

Eastenders. Accept no substitute.

Eastenders seems a bit far-fetched for my liking. It's exciting though.

I used to watch Neighbours when I was at school but these days I just can't wathc it anymore. Think I must have grown out of it. I don't have time to follow any particular soap. To catch every episode you have to glued to the set with the number of times a week they are on.

The only one I watch is coronation street, although it can get very monotonous and boring at times, dont always see it only when I am at home.

Not too keen on any soaps really, the scripts are very often written by Idiots for the benefit of Idiots and as regards these fools who send gifts and presents at a wedding or celebration well they are crackers. :? :? :?

I have watched a bit of Neighbours just recently, purely for Paul Robinson & his tricky plots & schemes. :thumbsup:

I don't watch Eastenders anymore at all, Emmerdale is sometimes on in the background but I would say I'm more likely to sit & watch Corrie.

And I loathe to admit this but I have a little crush on someone from Hollyoaks so I tend to watch that more often than anything else. But sssssshhhhhh don't tell anyone! :suspect: ;)

I find it hard to believe that people are actually voting for EASTENDERS, it is so depressing, it's just so dark and deep. when was the last time something nice happened on Eastenders?? the last time someone smiled??

you never know you might even learn something!

I always thought that the main reason for television was entertainment and knowledge as far as I can see Eastender's fit's into neither!!

I only watch Eastenders cos I fancy Little Mo.. Other than that I just watch Neighbours.. Mmm Sky, she WILL be mine, oh yes, she WILL be mine.. :love:

She was played by a different actress back then.. Now she's played by Stephanie Macintosh, who is related to Jason Donovan, she's his cousin or something apparently.

Every now and then Coronation Street is well worth watching on account of its scriptwriter John Stevenson - Last night's was a case in point. For those who missed it a young lad was moaning about the school holidays because there was no school. Not that he enjoyed school, but he enjoyed playing truant and he couldn't do that during the holidays.

I can't stand any soaps.

i voted for eastenders but i like coronation street and emmerdale just as much and never miss an episode. if brookside was still on would have got my vote.

I don't watch any on a regular basis, but will sometimes put Emmerdale or Corrie on while I'm having my tea.

The thing with those soaps is, although they sometimes have serious storylines, they don't take themselves too seriously.

ITV make the best soaps.

What you missed off 'Market in Honey Lane', 'The Hewcomers', 'The Grove Family', 'Compact', 'Triangle' 'The Sillivans' 'The Linden Tree' and 'United' for?

I love Hollyoaks... It's great. Like a live version of heat magazine.

I hate Hollyoaks, it's awful. It's just like a moving version of Heat magazine.

Sorry, but I REALLY hate Heat. They way they protray their 'exclusives' which are usually nothing more than third party quotes and the rest of the content is just dire. It really showed promise of being more like 'Empire' back in the early days but is now just quite sad, especially as they fill two pages of 'spotted - C list celebrity having a coffee / walking his dog / doing their shopping'. Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn.

Brookside used to be great.. Especially when Claire Sweeney was in it as Lindsey Corkhill, or that actress whose name I can't remember as Rachel Jordache, even Anna Friel as Beth Jordache wasn't bad... Didn't rate Jackie Dixon though, didn't she realise that trackie bottoms were outdated by even 90s standards?! Definitely a Scouse chav-ette if ever I saw one... :lol:

And not forgetting the evil Paul Usher as Barry Grant, who later popped up as the equally nasty PC Des Taviner in The Bill.

I regularly watch Emmerdale, Eastenders and Corrie.

Eastenders can be a bit 'cringy' and depressing.

Corrie, sometimes there's some funny bits and others it can be pretty boring.

Emmerdale, is my fave at the moment.
