Me and my OH started trying for a baby about 2months ago, and after the first month ofme not being on the pill I came on my period on my usual due date, however this month I'm now a week late.

My OH thinks it's too early to take a test and that I'm probably getting my hopes up for nothing and that my later period is probably due to coming off the pill.

What do other people think?

I would take a test today, sounds like you could be

Nah, go buy a test. My understanding is that they never say you are, if you aren't. The only 'false reading' is if you are, but they can't yet pick it up.

So, I'd go for it. If it says you are, then you are. If it says you're not, then there's still a chance you may be!

Well, I've taken the test this morning and.....It's POSITIVE!!!!

My OH is at football so I thought I'd do it so he wouldn't know expecting it to be negative and now I just can't wait to tell him!

I'm gonna go get another one this afternoon just to make sure but I'm so excited!!!

Well I've just taken a 2nd test and it's also positive! OH is over the moon too, he's got this stupid grin permanantly spread across his face! I'll be on to the Docs first thing in the morning!

same here. although it was a big shock both times it soon wore off and i still remeber the date and where i was, and its like knowing a great secret and walking around and only you knows. lol i even have a photo of the test i took when i found out about my son. its nice to look back and i put it in a montage i did too.

Ha Ha! I've done three tests now and they're all sat nicely on the fireplace in my bedroom. my OH keeps sayin its's disgusting and I should throw them away but I don't want too! Maybe a photo to keep will be a compromise!

I kept one I did with my daughter and have kept one from this time too :D

i did have it in the bedroom for a while but then i sort of realised it was covered in wee! lol and threw it away, i also had a digital one and after a few weeks it didnt say anything anymore.

I only did one test, my OH had to read the result though because I was convinced that it would be negative. The first thing he did was to hug and kiss me then he took a photo of the test.

It is such a wonderful feeling....... congratulations to the OP and enjoy your pregnancy.
