hi can anybody help me my rabbit as started banging very loud inside his hutch but only at night time, i put it down to something spooking him but he now does it constantley every night for about two hours solid but he does this quiet late on and my neighbours are not best pleased. i cant rehome the rabbit as my 10yr old daughter would be really upset, can anybody give me some advice please.

I think he's just bored. Try them hay balls - my rabbit loves them and has gone quiet ever since I got him some (you can remove the bell from inside if you cannot find one without it).
Also it may be that it's hungry as they like to bang their bowls around if there is no food.

My rabbit used to bang the bowl on his cage despite the food was there until I got him some hay balls - it must have been boredom.

Hopefully it will work for your rabbit too :)

Ok rabbits are creatures of the night too!! If your rabbit is banging he may be frightend , is there a fox nearby ? could you not place him in a shed for safety? He could also be bored in his hutch I hide food in my hutches at night so they have for forage for the food , I also put toys like balls and willow twigs for them to nore on throughout the night. I have to say Ellie our bunny doesn't thump unless she is frightend.

I have always had bunnies and i find that they thump when they want a mate, males do it a lot females when they come in to season, dont worry its nothing to be worried about, hope this helps

If you find that the case then neutering would sort that out.
