Hi,

I am looking for people who currently work at the William Hill Call Centre in town. Basically, I want to know what its like?
I understand there have been a lot of changes there very recently and wondered what existing staff might think of it now.
Also what are the management like?
I'm asking cos I have applied for a job there

I started at William Hill 2 weeks ago and at the minute i'm still in training but i have to say so far so good! (lol not sure if those who've been there longer agree, but we'll wait for them to reply!)

I'm in my first week of taking calls and to be honest its not that hard. You're taught everything you need to know (trust me before starting i knew NOTHING about betting but at least now i can understand the bet types!) and in the first 2 weeks you have a coach to help you till you are confident enough to go it alone.

The pay i'm on is £6.02 p/h which is pretty good compared to the measly £4.60 i used to get working in a certain sheffield nightclub and i'm finding the hours much easier to work (a mixture of morning/afternoon starts)

Fraid i can't give you anymore info as like i said i've only been there 2 weeks but i'm enjoying it so far!

I used to work there. Great place to work, lots of social events and friendly atmosphere. Management are sound (but I would say that as I was a TL there!)

How come you're not there anymore?

I left to take up a similar post at in Gibraltar and live in Spain. Sun, sea and a far better standard of living! It was a "no brainer" decision to make but I left Hill's with a heavy heart and miss everyone there. That said I wouldn't go back, nothing to do with Hill's just the rubbish weather and rip of Britain!

Very strange, I would contact HR and ask them why... :confused:
