I'm after some advice. I'm looking to move around Jn 30 of the M1 and was wondering what the areas around here were like.
I'm looking at Renishaw, Barlborough, Clowne, Eckington or close by, does anyone know what these areas are like?
I'm looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom house with a garden, around £210K in an area that isn't too far from Sheffield but that has good links to the M1 for travelling to Nottingham. I've had a look on rightmove.co.uk and there seems to be houses like this so I'm really after a bit of advice about the area itself.
I'd love it if I can find a house that is a short walk from a decent pub (would be great if it did food for the odd night out!), if there are any parks in the area for my boyfriends kids then that would be a bonus.
All opinions gratefully received.

I would have thought that Eckington is nice, good links to the M1 and also CHesterfield and Halfway for tram into Sheffield. You have Rother Valley nearby for walks and other leisure activities and then a few pubs around the area.
I dont know much about Renishaw, there is a development there, SPinkhill View I think that seems to be good. I dont really know though as not really been there myself.
Best thing to do is to register with a few estate agents and get some viewings sorted. Have you thought about Mosborough - a some good sized houses there. I know that Butlers estate agents have a few houses that could interest you in that area - seem a good bunch there, always more than happy to help and really polite so would reccomend having a look with them. Website is www.butlers.co.uk give it a go and see what they can do!
Not too sure about the other areas!
Happy searching!

Hi
I live in the new estate in Renishaw and its not a bad place. Its a bit cheaper to buy than Barlborough. There are 2 play parks, one on the new estate and 1 up by the community centre. We used to go down to the Sitwell. Its a nice friendly pub (although don't try and leave early on quiz night...) and does nice food. Sitwell also has attached gym although I never had the opportunity to use it so I don't knw how good it is. Its obviously close to M1, Sheffield centre takes 15-20 min (or about 45 min in rush hour) or Chesterfield takes 10-15 min. I really enjoy living there and would recommend it. Its a friendly place. Crime has gone up there lately but its high in Barlborough as well (due to proximity to M1 and ease of getting away).
hope this helps
