I'm looking to start (or join) a band or project after being out of the game for the last couple of years or so.
I used to play guitar in a metal/grind band and messed about on keyboards and effects in a kind of ambient band, but neither of those styles are necessarily the direction I want to go in. I certainly dont want to play guitar in any sort of metal band.
Saying that though, I'd love to try out on vocals for a decent (technical?)metal band - something along the lines of Red Chord, Ion Dissonance, Between the Buried and Me etc - obviously not just to re-hash their work or just 'fit in' with the genre...
No idea if I'd be any good but I'm really keen to try it out! Like I said, I wouldn't want to play guitar but I've got loads of ideas musically.
That would be top of my list right now but I'm pretty open minded when it comes to music and I'd like to try anything different. I'm really interested in an acoustic project of some kind, maybe with some cool female vocals, but doing something different with it - again, don't really wanna just fit in to a certain genre or style...
Too many ideas to put down here anyway!
You always hear people say they listen to all kinds of music, when really they mean they like one or two different types... I actually do have quite an eclectic taste I like to think - metal, hiphop, grime, rock, modern classical and even the odd bit of pop music to name just a few.
So if you're interested in working on something give me a shout - I just want to start making good music again, be creative and have a laugh, and hopefully get some gigs lined up, and just see what happens. I'm past kidding myself that it's easy to make millions and have a career in music lol but I guess you never know.
