View Full Version : Calling all men - Which body type do you prefer? swan 26-04-2005, 21:12 Which body type do men prefer, skinny (Kate Moss, Courtney Cox, Posh Spice) or Curvy (Kate Winslet, Charlotte Church, Emma Bunton) women, and why? Ant 26-04-2005, 21:28 I didn't vote. There are a dozen bodytypes that aren't accounted for under the banners "skinny" and "curvy", so it's not as cut and dried as that. Personally I prefer the petite look - Anna Friel and Kylie for me. But having said that, there's some sexy skinny women out there, and Bridget Jones does it for me too. Although she's very pretty, I'd have to draw the line at Dawn French. LordChaverly 26-04-2005, 21:30 Definitely curvy - a lady should be well upholstered, like the gorgeous Kate Winslett.. Who was it who said that making love to a skinny woman was like having sex with a bicycle? Or who said 'You need a good cushion when your doin' the pushin'? t020 26-04-2005, 21:32 Curvy - and most men seem to agree too. It's only women who seem to think skinny is more attractive and they put pressure on themselves to look that way when most men prefer curvier women anyway. Strange. Shiesh 26-04-2005, 21:32 I'd be surprised if blokes vote.....as long as it's in a skirt they'll sniff it.....!! Andy78 26-04-2005, 21:37 Originally posted by Shiesh....! At the risk of sounding vulgar, full breasts and a generous, rounded bottom are the sexual preference of most men in most of the ethnic cultures on the planet. Women like Winslet, Emma Bunton, Nigella Lawson and, of course, my wife [see dear!], make me ill with lust. Conversely, the 'petite', slim physiques of Kylie Minogue, Anna Friel etc have little effect on me. There is a limit to 'curvy', however, and Fern Britton, Dawn French etc are simply fat. They might ignite Abu Dhabi, but I don't think the average British male goes for such football-like figures as French and Britton. Kristian 26-04-2005, 22:07 Originally posted by Shiesh....! Regular forumers will know that ladies aren't my thing, but in the way that you, Timo, could perhaps think Robbie (for example) was good looking, I can do so with girls. I personally think that both Fern and Dawn are fantastic examples of womanhood; I would rather date either of them than any of the aforementioned females! Highly unlikely to stir the dogs of lust in my case, old fruit. I see your point re Britton and French. As I said, they would go down well [if you will forgive the expression] in Abu Dhabi, the Gabon Rainforest etc, but most men, including imperfect, average specimens like myself who are not worthy of Ruby's affections, would prefer them to be a little trimmer. Ruby, Hopefully, you will have received my intimate, private billet doux, which I typed flushed-faced, with trembling fingers. I take your point re the attractiveness of women in the size range of 14/16, and I think Monroe was fabulous. However, 'Fern' and 'Dawn' as they are known to dear Kris, are considerably larger than this. No offence intended to women of the fullest of figures. I always like to think that there is something beautiful about all women, whether they conform to a certain cultural criteria or not. It may be a certain look in the eye, the way a smile plays about the lips, or some haunting, hard to define quality. I like them to have a large bank balance, and a generous spirit, personally. I said earlier that girls aren't my thing, but I really don't think that stops me from looking at a lady and seeing she is or isn't attractive. I personally don't think skinny girls are attractive (generally), but can see the beauty in all things. Coincidentally, I don't go for skinny guys either. Maybe that's a reflection on myself as a big bloke (they do say you go for people you look like yourself! ;) ), or maybe as someone that has sufferred from eating disorders in the past, I don't value the skinny frame as much as others? In essence, while I know which side my bread is buttered, I also think I can appreciate beauty from all sides! I find that women have a different view on when they are fat, and many women who look great, complain about being fat when they are just natural looking. Eg Rene Z when she was Bridget jones1 looked normal to me, but now she looks like a stick insect and extremely ill. Hates: skinny, very fat, short hair, face piercing, smoking, lazy. Loves: intelegence, tall, long hair, larger boobs, energetic. rubydazzler 27-04-2005, 07:22 I'm now thinking Timo rather missed the point of my comment about my fans being above average males, as he later went on to reiterate that most men hate BBW .... methinks I may have been a tad too subtle for him there .... :P (goes off to find a sledgehammer suitable for hitting men over the head with) LoopyLou 27-04-2005, 07:24 As a woman I am obviously not allowed to vote on this poll, but there appears to be no rules about offering my opinion! The ample frontage sometimes comes along with that! exactly, some men prefer just a handful, and some prefer a little more, but curvy means she's got nice boobs(not necessarily very large) and she goes in at the stomach and out a little again at the hips. Kelly Brooke has a superb figure, but Pamela Anderson is a stick insect with comedy boobs. But even Anneka Rice has a good figure whan you saw her big bum jumping out of the helicopter. By the time I got rid of it, there was more rust than metal on the body.. Andy78 27-04-2005, 10:44 In my experience there doesn't seem to be a general rule for what I find attractive. Everyone that I have been attracted to in the past has been completely different in shape, looks and personality. This does get confusing when people ask me what type I go for. I simply cannot even start to narrow that down. Either I fancy someone, or I don't. Although I can find many people attractive, it's very rare that I fancy anyone. Ps. will someone come up with a better word than fancy? It's such a 12 year old's word and just sounds stupid. Evei 28-04-2005, 16:43 Originally posted by SHsheff Lol so since when has a size 8 not been skinny? And have those admirers in this esteemed forum of the curvy female form really been talking about women wearing UP TO a size 12? Hullo???? Hehe methinks you're either aged ten (with appropriately widthed - is that a word? - girlfriends) or your ladeez have been telling you porkies about their dress sizes! 'Curvy' would usually mean slightly larger than size 10/12, my friend. IMHO, anyway.... La la la :) dress size really does not matter anyway, I'm pretty tall (5'9") I would look quite ill if I was a size ten where a petite women would just look normal sized. D2J 28-04-2005, 16:47 OoOoOo Give me nice and curvy anyday :heyhey: miniminch 28-04-2005, 16:57 I think this whole debate is frankly ... well ....purile!! I don't care what body type the woman I love has - I love her for her mind... oh and her massive knockers!! craigb 28-04-2005, 17:42 Given those choices then curvy! Ideally should be not too thin, not too fat, nice (and definately not short!) hair, nice smile, nice eyes, decent handful chest (but not too big either)... Having said all that though there are much more important things... like having things in common, good sense of humour, intelligence, personality etc! Very true. Although, I can apreciate how someone looks, it's not what attracts me to them. Captain_Scarlet 29-04-2005, 15:53 Originally posted by Ant I didn't vote. There are a dozen bodytypes that aren't accounted for under the banners "skinny" and "curvy", so it's not as cut and dried as that. Indeed, very narrow choice of body types there, I just voted to see the reuslts. maniclee 30-04-2005, 22:35 Bernard Manning, of all people, said it best. "As long as she's got a nice face, an all t'fixtures an fittings, yr can't go far wrong." pj66 01-05-2005, 05:50 as long as she is feminine and not obese curvy women can look sexy so can skinny ones it all depends on how they are dressed the main thing is a sense of humour ( they have to understand mine) so as for skinny or curvy......... both does it for me so i cant vote !!!!!!   miniminch 01-05-2005, 09:21 Guys check this honey out (http://www.grimmemennesker.dk/ugly-people-25.htm) Unisol 16-07-2005, 09:25 I would say slim, but the toned slim, not skinny slim. Nice toned bum and legs (like my missus) are of particular interest to me. Size of breasts isn't really that important although i would lean more towards small and pert. Not that i'm fussy like. royjames 16-07-2005, 10:08 I like nice blond long legged women with blue eyes,oh and a nice ass .:D robbie 16-07-2005, 15:29 Originally posted by royjames I like nice blond long legged women with blue eyes,oh and a nice ass .:D I prefer a nice Donkey myself :heyhey: Viper_GTSR 16-07-2005, 16:00 Like stated by other people, there is one shape I prefer, but it is not skinny, nor completley curvy. ReginaldD 16-07-2005, 23:46 Definetly, curvy you need something to hold onto, not hold so she does'nt blow away in the breeze. madowl 17-07-2005, 19:15 Id like to get hold of something that i could cuddle nice and curvy, but to be honest size/build doesnt matter to me.... If it was a case of 'poor me' I'd act like a doormat & not say anything. I am not casting aspersions either, someone had a rant at me so I replied & I wasn't off topic. Did you notice that someone said I had a problem with naked bodies and that I expected men to only like other mens bodies? Of course I'm going to reply to that, wouldn't you? I was trying to say it didn't matter to me whether it was a womans body or a mans body, whatever shape or size you are attracted to is your business. Is there really any point in making things so frustrating? You sound the same with 'your mod hat off' as you do with it on & you sound like you have a personal problem with me! |
