I am at my wits end with windows antivirus 2008 it pops up every 30 seconds to tell me i need to buy the full version i cant stop it or get rid of it. it comes up with 2 options if you press the wrong one it wont go till you buy the full version can any one help me? does that greedy **** not have enough money?

Uninstall it via add and remove programs.
Then install a better free antivirus program like AVG.

this is actually spyware ....... you need to follow instructions as in google etc .... type in "windows antivirus 2008" there are are plenty of results with how to remove it , choose which best suits you .... then download a trusted antispyware prog & run & scan

also you can download & run spywareblaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html) which runs in the background all the time helping protect you (remember to update it every few days)

Yup, you have spyware, this particular one can be a bitch to remove as often if its got a good hold, trying to goto removal sites avg, spybot etc. it will direct you to yet another spyware site, the easiest way to get the software you need is to goto a download site like download.com and type avg/spybot etc and get the downloads from there as if you try to go directley to their sites it might divert you to a spyware/malware site.
