Does anyone know how hard or easy it is to get on to the PGCE in ICT at Hallam uni?
I dont really want to go anywhere else so will only be putting down Sheffield on my application. I dont know what ill do if I dont get in.

I think that the teaching profession is in desperate need of ICT teachers so if you really want to go into this profession you should be lucky

Thanks for the reply. Its not the actual getting work after finishing uni that im worried about, its the actual getting onto the course in the 1st place, as I have heard that it may be quite difficult as it has become very popular. just wondering if this is the case.

Oh sorry, not sure on that one. I would have thought that there will be more places than there are people wanting them.
Teaching is a wonderful career though, I love it.
Good luck

The getting onto a PGCE is dead easy.
The 'hard part' is getting the necessary teaching hours within the course . This is the difficult area. Often you have to teach many hours for free, if you are lucky !
College lecturers have been hit quite badly in recent years, in terms of working hours. Most are now Part Time.
