We would like to find 1 or 2 young (adolescent) cats or kittens, though would not be able to have them until early September at the earliest.
Sadly we have just had to have our old toroiseshell cat put down, and are
looking for another cat (or cats) to replace. We have no other pets.
We have 2 young girls aged 4 and nearly 6, and they loved our cat, she was very placid and friendly.
We are not sure if we want one or 2 cats- 2 (sisters) would probably be nice as they can keep each other company, we would want female cats- we think their temperament is better.
I think we would prefer tortoiseshell cats, but probably influenced more by past experience than anything and as long as the temperament is right not particular on colour. Short haired cats, though.
We have a utility room that has cat flap access to the garden, and would expect them to be indoor / outdoor cats.
If offered we would like to know what would have done to the cats and therefore what else we would need to have done / pay for in the short to medium term- e.g. vaccinations, neutering, microchipping etc.
Thanks Steve T

have you thought about adopting a rescue cat? The sheffield city council pound have some cats in at the moment, as well as the RSPCA, thornberry and sheffield CATS, they are all desperatley seeking homes and they do sometimes have kittens in. In my opinion they are so much more rewarding that home bought cats as they appreciate every little thing. There are a lot of young cats in the shelters, all for different reasons. Also if you rehome from a shelter, usually the vaccinations are up to date and they are nuetered or come with a nuetering voucher for when they are old enough. It saves you a lot of money as everything is included in the adoption fee, and also gives a needy cat a second chance. Good luck finding your cat
