I'm thinking of buying some boxing gloves and a punchbag for home. I have a big loft space so I would put the bag up there. Could anyone recommend some good gloves (what make etc) and a good bag? I've heard of makes like Everlast, Cleto Reyes etc

I've been into Boxing for as long as I can remember and I'm getting bored with going to the gym. Never took it upon myself to join a gym when I was in my teens. Now I'm 30, I'd like to try it out for myself, and use it as an alternative to maintaining fitness.

Dont spend too much money on a set of gloves for home use or just for gym use.
Cleto Reyes cost a fortune!!!
Spend say,.. £25-£30 on a set of gloves. If you get them for £20 Bargain!!!
Less than £20? Be wary , you get what you pay for.

KNOX Boxing gym on 77 sidney street in town do boxing classes for all levels.
The trainer Steve is a wonderful old bloke (He's like our dad! LOL) with a ****E sense of humour (and worse taste in music).
The gym is in the town centre and dont worry about being 30 there are a lot of over 30's there.
I used to spar with 56 year old Terry (who is built like a bricksh** house) and there is also Daz who trains there regularly and hes 44 (he trains harder than all the youngsters bar none!).

Beginners KICKBoxing = monday/thursday at 830pm

Boxing = monday - thursday 5-7pm.
If your down for the boxing on monday youll always see me.
I pop in early and pay my respects to old steve and the boxers ;)
