Hi all,

We are having some friends over for a meal on friday night and am thinking of making chicken in reggae reggae sauce.

I just wondered if anyone has done this and how it turned out. Also any tips ?

So, I guess no one on here has done this then ?

Well to let you all know, I did chicken in reggae reggae sauce on Friday and everyone loved it. Just poured a full bottle over some chicken then shoved it in the oven for an hour. Lovely. Too much sauce though so if anyone else does it, don't use the whole bottle.

It is a jerk bbq sauce, tastes like a bbq sauce with a bit of a kick to it !

Very nice though.

Is it overrated with all the Dragons den hype, or is it really different & yummy?

I thought it was nice, but it's basically HP sauce.

It's sweeter than HP sauce. Very nice though

On a different note I love the HP Grilling sauce as a marinade

I recently marinated some strips of chicken in it overnight, pan friend them and then added them to some rice which I had cooked and then fried with onion, peas and sweetcorn with some sesame oil and a bit of soy sauce it was lovely.

Reggae Reggae is well over rated, i was waiting for the kick but it never came.
It needs more scotch bonnett adding to it :hihi: Its no good for maranating but it goes well with chicken gravy if you add a big splash.
If you want propper reggae reggae chicken then buy some all purpose seasoning and chicken seasoning chop garlic and onions leave over night.then add the garlic, onions & pepper to the gravy as you wish There ya go
