Hi everyone.

I have just bought a used car that has been converted to run on LPG. If anyone is familiar with using this, I would appreciate your help on a couple of things :-

When filling the tank, how do you know when it is full?

When I was driving the car back from Manchester, the petrol seemed to be going down when I was using the LPG. Is this normal?

Any advice would be received with thanks :)

Hi We have had a VW for a while that runs on LPG......

I don't know if it depends on your system, but on ours the filling machine just stops when it is full. We hav a wee gauge fitted on the dashboard with three lights that should indicate how full your tank is - but ours has never worked. I always make sure I carry half a tank of petrol in case I run out. Also have a map of the LPG stations (you get this map if you join this website http://www.go-autogas.com/)

Certainly not in my experience. My van runs on one or the other - not both.:suspect:
Would suggest you get a service. There is a place off London Road called WGB Motors where we take ours.

All the best
