I liked Rockys Babes (had theme tume like the recent Eminem song..Toy Soldiers) !! It was a great cop show with one of the McGann brothers in it and a few others actors that are well known now!!

I am not 100% on the title as was only in my teens.....it was late 1980's though..!!

Anyone else remember it......

Also Moonlighting, Cagney and Lacey, Miami Vice and Chips!!

I also remember a cop show not Juliet Bravo - where the police woman was dark haired and had an afro as did her son....she was a single mother....the son was a moody teenager....I think she was called 'Gill' or 'Jill'!!! .......jog any memories!!

I would have mentioned "The Professionals" but I'd class it as a 70s show.

Bodie & Doyle!!!! :D The Professionals were excellent. I had a bit of a crush on Bodie  It ran from '77 until 82. The show that is not the crush! The theme tune was class too. I wish they would re-run it.

I always had a bit of a soft-spot for Doyle, despite the awful perm! :D And he's matured very nicely as well! Although I was a little bit disturbed recently to discover that my Mum has taken a fancy to Judge John Deeds! :o

By the way,"The Professionals" was re-run loads of times on Sky on Granada Plus. It's been a while now though, so I'd say it's due for another resurrection any time now - probably on ITV3?

Cobaltblue -

Just noticed that "The Professionals" seems to be running - from the beginning, I think - on Sky TV on the "Men and Motors" channel.

Ahhh I enjoyed that, much to the disdain of my son .... His comment "OMG how can you like that mum .. what age are you?!" :D Lol he got even more annoyed when I wouldn't let him switch it back over to 'Meet the Parents' until the funky theme tune had finished playing! :P

And Bodie is just as cool as I remember him ;) What a ladykiller huh!! :heyhey: All the violence, drugs, prostitution, blackmail ... I'm suprised my mother let me watch it at all :o

From what I remember, "The Professionals" was regarded as pretty strong stuff back in the late 70s - my parents wouldn't let me watch it! But there were ways.... :D

I find it quite funny that my Mum won't miss "Judge John Deeds" cos SHE likes Martin Shaw now!!

I'm glad you managed to watch the programme tonight - me too! I keep forgetting how sexy Bodie and Doyle both were - they put most of today's leading men to shame for sheer masculinity - although the show's sexism belongs firmly back in the 70s.

Bodie is such a chauvinist pig - but he's so charming and got such a wicked glint in his eye you've got to forgive him really! I think Doyle was supposed to be quite a 'new man' for the time.

Cheers, Cobaltblue
