View Full Version : Cuffuffle at the Peugeot Garage, Ecclesall Road on Monday
Bad_Hair_Day 26-04-2005, 07:09 At about 5.15 last night, I was on my way home from work and there was a bloke stood on the roof of a car in the Peugeot Garage, being attacked by a dog while the garage staff watched through the windows!
Did anyone else see it? What was going on?
msbehavin 26-04-2005, 07:28 Sorry - no information on the incident but just wanted to say I LOVE THAT WORD 'CAFUFFLE' !!! Good title!!
Is the word not Kerfuffle?
msbehavin 26-04-2005, 07:33 <----sighs:rolleyes:
Bad_Hair_Day 26-04-2005, 07:49 Well I was gonna put that there was a bit of a Hoo Haa at the Peugeot Garage, but I thought that sounded a bit posh! And I've probably spelt that wrong aswell!
the fonz 26-04-2005, 09:04 who cares how you spell it, along as you get your message accross shurley thats all that maters

Surely :D
Spelling and grammar, good in't it?
the guy was probably angry after receiving an invoice from pug.
the fonz 26-04-2005, 09:21 Cheers rich.
Does it really matter that a word is spelt wrong or the grammar incorrect as long as the message on conveyed accurately?
If you post a comment would you rather have someone adding to the conversation or someone unnecessarily correcting your spelling and grammar?
probably just refused to pay an extortionate bill and they sent the peugeot hounds after him
Sorry if I sounded like I was being a pedant, but kerfuffle is a reet gud wurd, but its the kicking k that makes it for me....
In future I will throw caution to the wind and vary the spelling between cuffuffle / cafuffle / kerfuffle.
Hoohaa is also a good word, but I prefer broo-ha-ha.
In an attempt to show that I wasn't being unhelpful (and to keep on topic) I have telephoned the Peugeot dealers, the nice lady denied knowledge, but said she would investigate should I care to ring back later this afternoon..
Bad_Hair_Day 26-04-2005, 09:43 Denied knowledge??? Interesting. There were 4 or 5 staff inside watching it all (one of them had his head through the door talking to the bloke on the car roof!). There was also a good crowd gathering round the bus-stop having a nosey. Surely the Peugeot staff must be talking about this morning. Surely I didn't dream it...? Surely I can't get the word surely into this post many more times?
Maybe the Dog thought the car was a Cat......it was after all a Purrrgo......ok ok I will ge me coat:confused:
the fonz 26-04-2005, 10:01 Good effort SHarper
Classic Rock 26-04-2005, 10:16 What kind of dog was it? Fluffy poodle? Savage Rottweiler?
Bad_Hair_Day 26-04-2005, 10:55 Looked like a Jack Russell type but a bit bigger - although I could only really see it's head and front legs as it launched itself up the side of the car. It was mainly white, with a tan head. Suppose it could have been some sort of pit bull? It was going bonkers whatever it was! Poor bloke must have been terrified!
SnailyBoy 26-04-2005, 11:26 I wonder if the dog was called Rover.
Sorry it was the best i could do............
Was down there yesterday ancd found out a pitbull terrier attacked a man who then jumped ontop of a car to escape, unfortunatly he wasn't in a position to pay for the damage that he caused to the roof.
Not sure what happened after that!!!
Bad_Hair_Day 28-04-2005, 10:48 Poor bloke - the dog was going berzerk, he must have been really brickin' himself!
You'd think the garage would be insured for damage to the cars on their property. Although I'd like to see the description on the insurance claim form!
Right, I'm off to enrol on a "How to Identify Dogs" course cos I need to figure out the difference between Jack Russells and Pit Bulls...

If he had time to jump onto a car, why didn't he simply kick the damned thing in its' head? I know I would/have done!
Classic Rock 28-04-2005, 12:19 What was the man wearing?
(continuing the useless questions part of the thread :D )
Bad_Hair_Day 28-04-2005, 13:17 black jeans/trousers and black hooded top I think. Why do you ask...? Do you think the dog could be trained to attack certain people?
Classic Rock 28-04-2005, 14:00 Maybe. Was he ginger?

You are just being Gingerist :o
Classic Rock 28-04-2005, 14:25 Nope, just trying to weed out any eventuality. Wondering if this dog has attacked before and if there is a trend.
Wondering how the incident ended. Did the dog win or did the man?
