After a stressful time shopping at Meadowhell, I felt like lounging in front of the TV for the evening. Having decided there wasn't much choice, I settled for 2 hours of Midsomer Murders on ITV. I think this is the 3rd time I've watched the program and unfortunately the constant twists, tea drinking and general "middle England" style is now starting to bore me. Anyone else see/like/hate it?

The second thing I watched (by accident!) was the Channel 4 program Boys & Girls. This show follows a young "boy" or "girl" as they spend £100,000 in one week. They then face the audience on Saturday to see if they can keep their purchases. I have to admit, there was something strangely addictive (and yet sickening) about watching someone blow that much money.

Anyway, just thought I would brighten up the forum with some TV chat!

I am very selelctive in what I watch on tv.as it can become so boring, a lot these so called comedy shows are pathetic, about as funny as a rainy day.

News bulletins, a good film, educational, travel, wish you were here, coronation street all these I can stand but most of the rubbish they dish up no!!!

TV. is a usefull medium for when I am stopping in and there is something I want to see, but it is not the most important thing in my life. :o :D

what worries me about midsomer murders is wouldnt the house prices suffer due to loads of murders happening in this small village

Yeah, you would think

Also, wouldn't there be some major police review. Surely this Begerac (;)) guy must have a record number of convictions?! Just consider the "arrests per 100 people" statistic!

Do you mean to say that what happens on Midsomer Murders is not realistic? Living in the US, all I know about the UK is from the small amount of British TV we get. So if I am being mislead by watching Eastenders, Inspector Morse, Touch of Frost, Midsome Murders and Keeping Up Appearances you should set me straight. :)

I like Midsomer Murders.

I like John Nettles.

I love the twee middle englandy miss-marpley type settings, all those churches, tree lined paths.

i must admit though, the frequenxy of murders and serial killings in the area *should* mean it'd become a demilitarised zone sooner or later....

I like to view 'Midsomer Murders' also and can even sit through the repeats - John Nettles will not make another series after 2012.
