well, there's all the snooker players at the moment..

my house mate nipped out to a takeaway on london road on saturday.. when he got back he said he saw some bloke coming out of Rossi's (italian restaurant) surrounded by shrieking teenage lads, so he whipped out his phone and got a photo with him even though he didn't know who it was.. he showed it me and goes "any idea if he's famous?".. it was only ken bloody doherty!

Yep, Hollyoaks man is always in Morrisons at Hillsborough. Well, maybe not always, but quite a lot. Supermarket shopping is a great way to spot minor celebs. I've seen Phil Oakey in the Abbeydale Road Tescos (he's very handsome), and also somebody out of Last of the Summer Wine in M&S in town.

Oh, the thrill of it all! :D

So that would be Jack Osbourne (character) then?
How odd! They film that in Chester - thats a bit of a comute! He gets more street cred for being in Touch Of Frost in my book :)

Oh,and going back to other celebs,a friend once swore his mum met Don Johnson in Hackenthorpe social club!Just say no,kids.

LOl thats fab!

Am racking my brains and apart from the usual theatre types (around the thatres normally - funny that) the last 'celeb' I saw was Les Dennis outside fargate Marks & Sparks :-(
On the same stretch of pavement I did see Phil Oakey eyeing up some new trainers so shouldn't grumble.

Now thats a thought, are any famous Sheffielders signed up here? Theres that many of us after all......

Me and my mum saw Eric Sykes walking down Arundal Gate once. He was laughing like a drain at something, but he was on his own. He's quite tall, he had a nice tweed suit on and his glasses were very thick.

A few years ago, someone I know claimed he chatted briefly to Sean Bean at the vegetable section of the old Safeways at the end of Ecclesall Road. They had a short chat about the carrots before a burly bloke called "Sean, come on!" or something, and he left.

StarSparkle - never anyone famous around when I go supermarket shopping - grrrr!

Myself, Duffman, BruciesBabe and Deejay all spotted Chris Waddle in the 80's bar on West Street on the 19th of March.

BruciesBabe went over and had a 10 minute chat with him :)

Geoff Hoon, the Minister for Defence, was at the Winter Gardens with local Labour Party election candidates. Not sure if the other major political parties bother sending any of their bigwigs though.

a few months ago me and my friend started chatting to a couple of men on Division Street 1am, after a night in the Forum, and they asked us back to Cutlers hotel for drinks, so when we got there we were greeted with the entire cast of Blood Brothers, it turns out the 2 men were in the cast and performing in Sheffield for few weeks. Everyone was buying us drinks and we left a few hourse later unable to stand up!
