Just passed my HGV theory test today. Wanted to know if its best just to take the class 2 as class 1 needs at least a years exp. normally. Plus i rang a few agencies and they told me that there are no new driving positions and its very quiet. So is it worth me taking the practical test or leave it till work picks up?? Any help appreciated.:D

dont bother at moment, all the agencies are crying out for work.

the best licence to get is your class one... gives you more flexibility.

you need to take class 2 first before you can take class1.

My OH has got both, hes actually in full time work but because hes registered with agencies they ring him every couple of days to ask if hes available for work. Its right you have to take your class 2 before class 1 but make sure youve loads of experience before you take the class 1 cos it can work out very expensive. My OH failed his class 1 the first time at a cost of £1600, and that was about 4 years ago.

i did the theory test and got 35/35 and 62 in hazard perception.

DId the practical course 3 times failed it 3 times gave up.

Still i never did become a driving instructor as the theory test put me off but now i know i can do it im thinking about it again.
