I'm planning a night out and I have held a few bad things said about Old Orleans. Thanks McLovin 01-08-2008, 16:50 The Boardwalk I find is always consistently good quality. They do fantastic pork ribs that just fall off the bone too. susa41981 01-08-2008, 19:45 We went there and it was rubbish. You could hear the microwave pinging! Sneakerfreak 01-08-2008, 22:34 Always prefer Old Orleans - even been tonight. Decent food, decent prices and friendly staff Littlepink 01-08-2008, 23:34 i personally don't like Old orleans but i really like Frankie and Benny's. We've never had a bad meal there and the service is great happylady 02-08-2008, 12:27 Think they're all about the same really - ie not that good Frank Sidney 02-08-2008, 12:43 Went to Old Orleans with a friend the other day - totally unimpressed. Thirteen quid or thereabouts for beef fajitas which consisted of three flour tortillas and about four peices of beef. I was pleased it was her and not me so thought a tenner for my burger would be better... turned up a run of the mill burger and a handful of chips. Never again. Left hungry and thirty odd quid worse off. Meaks 02-08-2008, 13:26 Chiquito is quite nice, and of course there is a Nando's at Centertainment now which is always good. angel_b 02-08-2008, 15:28 Prezzo is newly opened at Centertainment and quite frankly, pees all over the other restaurants there. It's modern Italian with a bit of a Cafe Rouge feel to it. Very chic looking inside, very good food and we had brilliant service too. My husband and I had 3 courses and 2 rounds of drinks there on Thursday night for £42.50. Menu is here (choose the "calzone" one): http://www.prezzoplc.co.uk/prezzomenu.html Naz25 04-08-2008, 10:26 nandos!!!! theripsaw 04-08-2008, 10:35 Nando's, simple decent food. The others serve overpriced over processed rubbish. Edit- Not been to Prezzo's. Reviews seem good PuressenceUK 04-08-2008, 11:46 The new place that has opened next to Nandos, Prezzo is amazing. The only 'decent' resturant on there if you ask me. Waiters actually pour your drinks out, mellow music, lovely stonebaked Calzone. Very very good indeed. Only problem is it looks like it's not yet open due to all the building work going on around it, but don't be fooled! lozchuckles 05-08-2008, 16:46 How many does Prezzo hold? I think 20/30 people will want something to eat. PuressenceUK 05-08-2008, 21:06 How many does Prezzo hold? I think 20/30 people will want something to eat. It can easy seat 20-30 judging from when I went it last week. Looks like it can hold 60-70 comfortably. Mind you, you might shock them a bit, every time I have been in there have been 7-8 people maximum as no-one knows it's open! nick2 06-08-2008, 10:06 Think they're all about the same really - ie not that good Have to agree, they all have a very boil-in-bag feel to them. clogginchris 17-09-2008, 22:38 Just like to confirm what everybody's saying about Prezzo's - it's excellent. Eaten a couple of times there now and very impressed. Pizza and pasta freshly cooked, and the fishcakes in a cream and prawn sauce were fantastic! Definitely a better class of place at Centertainment. medicgirl 17-09-2008, 22:43 I came on here to recommend Chiquito's which is a favourite of mine but had never heard of this Prezzo place - sounds great, will have to try! mscoco 15-03-2009, 23:24 Prezzo is absoulutely brill lovely staff and gorge food! blackerz 16-03-2009, 16:06 nandos is the don komal 16-03-2009, 16:23 We went there and it was rubbish. You could hear the microwave pinging! they are all horrible and they are all use microwaved food, they're chain restaurants for gods sake what do you expect? slh73 16-03-2009, 18:02 they are all horrible and they are all use microwaved food, they're chain restaurants for gods sake what do you expect? Prezzo doesnt microwave all theor food. Unless that big stone oven with the flames inside is is some sort of new design mocrowave I havent seen before. cosywolf 16-03-2009, 18:50 I'd avoid Old Orleans myself. Went Saturday...quite poor food at silly prices. She admitted using the microwave, because only one was working and it was 'the slow one' Nice staff, though. dongle 16-03-2009, 19:54 we always go to Chiquito's sammo sparks 18-03-2009, 19:26 Prezzo's is spot on and their Calzones certainly hit the spot! hparkes 18-03-2009, 20:08 Prezzo is newly opened at Centertainment and quite frankly, pees all over the other restaurants there. Menu is here (choose the "calzone" one): http://www.prezzoplc.co.uk/prezzomenu.html I agree, Prezzo is lovely. They do a special menu before 5.30 as well, can't remember the exact price but it was reasonable - less than a tenner for starter and main course. Frank Sidney 18-03-2009, 20:29 Prezzo's is spot on and their Calzones certainly hit the spot! Can certainly second this! Four of us went and all had different meals (including the calzone) and all were fantastic. Would definately choose this over the other sort. akhtar 19-03-2009, 18:13 nandos is ok,bit expensive for wot u get tho.plus its halal if anyone needs to know! baloo1 19-03-2009, 20:50 Belle Italia is great I only ever go there now used to go to Bitz N Pizza but the food and service is rubbish compared to B.I angusrose 19-03-2009, 23:22 nando's is always a winner with me love_hearts 20-03-2009, 13:01 Old Orleans is awful. I had their chicken fajitas recently and it was honestly the worst meal out I've ever had. Completely tasteless and a total rip off. larnz 20-03-2009, 22:22 Prezzo, is way better than all the others Claret 21-03-2009, 10:20 They're all as bad as each other. Go into town. *binty* 21-03-2009, 10:28 Boardwalk is ok :) Rice Owl 21-03-2009, 11:13 nandos is ok,bit expensive for wot u get tho.plus its halal if anyone needs to know! So Nandos is halal? Yet ANOTHER reason to avoid them then! Halal is simply horrific. Come on, this is the 2st century - not the middle ages. If we are going to eat animals the least we can do is slaughter them humanely. kidfranky 26-03-2009, 16:52 nando's is immense dont care how its slaughtered. minx12 28-03-2009, 12:30 boardwalk every time food and service is top notch! forsalenow 28-03-2009, 19:25 I agree, Prezzo is lovely. Kensnroses 29-03-2009, 13:33 I'd agree with the Boardwalk! Good service, amazing burgers! I have to say though that EVERYTHING with Centertainment is a complete rip-off! minx12 10-04-2009, 15:38 i take back the previous comment i mead about boardwalk. i went there yesterday and the food wasn't even cooked, chips were hard and the ribs were still pink in the middle. gone right down since the last time i went. dsmith 10-04-2009, 16:37 i always go to Chiquito's or Belle Italia forsalenow 11-04-2009, 11:18 any decent offers on this easter weekend ?
