Hi all,

I have searched but the few threads I found are quite old, so..... can anyone recommend me a decent 5MP+ dig. camera that won't break the bank? We had a Canon Ixus 5MP but some arse nicked it and I would love to start taking photos of my daughter again for the family album but am a bit skint!
The last one was rechargeable, are there any rechargeable ones that are this cheap??!!

I can either buy in Sheff/ Chesterfield or online provided the company is trusted and I will get it within a week or so.

Thanks x

I've bought stuff from pixmania before, their prices are usually quite good.

They have a few cameras just over £50 which are from well known brands. Like this one @ £51 (you can search by price range) http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1345074/art/ricoh/rr770-caplio-in-black.html which uses AA batteries so you could get rechargeable ones.

Sorry can't help with actual recommendation, and sorry to hear your camera got stolen!

On the rechargable side of things, get one that takes AA batteries and stock up on rechargable AAs.

I've just bought a Kodak easyshare from ebay for £20 - excellent camera.

Yes i'd recommend them as a good digital camera. I bought my daughter a easy share with 2.2mp and that thing just worked, every time you pressed the shutter button it snapped instantly. The camera also took the CV-3 batteries to the thing would last weeks without charging.

I think i only paid £10 buy now for that new as the owner lost the bracket and software in a house move.

Comet have reduced the Casio 10mp cameras from £149.99 to £79.00. This is a bit more than you wanted to pay but a very nice camera.
