ls there anyone on the Forum that works at the above firm or know anyone who does [Arthur Fearn] l have just completed my family tree and find my GRT /GRT Grand father William was the founder of this firm he was born 1800.

I believe the property at Bakewell has been sold. I am unsure if the company, which changed it's name to or was taken over by Morgan Machine Co, is still trading.
I think that at least two of the former directors caled Fearnehough are still living in the Sheffield area

I worked at this company in South Africa from 76 to 78,I'm sure one of the Fearnehoughs visited when I was there.The director at the time in Joberg was a guy called John Forrest who moved to Australia around 79/80ish.

I worked at W.Fearnehough until 1978 when I left to go to Snows in the Wicker. William was chairman of Sheffield Wednesday when the company was in Garden Street Sheffield.He would be your great grandfather. When Wednesday played midweek matches at that time they played in the afternoon and William would allow the Wednesdayites to go which meant the factory was virtually closed when they played.
