Maybe a silly question. But...

Who do you prefer? & Which films do you prefer?

Having seen the Dark Knight, I decided to re-watch (again) Batman Begins. Which is pretty awesome. So, to keep the flow going, I watched the 3 Spiderman films...

Long story short, I much prefer Batman. The films are more serious, where Spidey is a bit, well, over rated? I know "over rated" is a bit strong, but hey...you know I'm right. Right?

I don't compare the two as one (Spider-Man) is lighter family-friendly entertainment, and the other is darker in tone and dynamics. They are both great at what they do, and sit equally for me depending on the frame of mind I am in.

Batman is far better. I prefer a film with a dark side to it and to me, Batman captures that perfectly well. Spiderman seems real geeky for my liking and never really like it.

Batman, because no-one has superpowers so if I had that kind of money I could be Batman... (or at least Batwoman)

You got me! Yes, the fact that I appear to be a 5'6" woman (lacking in both the manly-jawbone department and the muscle department) is all a cunning disguise...

damn. my plans to reveal the true identity of the real batman have been foiled once again...maybe i will call on the mysterious powers of the riddler to help me.

or maybe that will confuse matters even more...back to the batboard.

hope i didn't cause offence shlg?!?!

Me too... I even have the costume at home.

As for Spiderman, the Spidey trilogy was a bit crap IMO.

If I was super man i'd take an hour out of every day and start turning lumps of coal into diamonds so I could feed the world.

Id blow on the north and southern soles to re-freeze them.

Id would fly around the world so fast that the ozone layer sealed itself.

Then id nip to furvale on my way back home and knock the c**p out of that speed camera that never fails to flash me.:D

Lol banana man was brilliant!

I'd go batman, even the original even though I do like the spiderman movies, if picking either one, I'd go with Brucey lol. The car is the original is awesome. Remember seeing it at graves park transport show a few years back. Still starts and drives with same or worse fuel economy than a bus!

Batman. I'm a big comic book guy so grew up with (and love) both, but if we're talking about the last few movies then I'm choosing Batman.

Despite lots of awesome bits (the second film is pretty much all amazing) but Peter Parker gets a bit too whiny and Mary-Jane is such a wet character when she should be a cool, strong match for Spidey instead of just a damsel in distress.

And to think I really used to fancy Kirsten Dunst too!

Not keen on the Spiderman films. I don't know what I'd do if I had super powers, but I am very sure I wouldn't be a whiney sissy like Peter Parker.

Batman is awesome, loved the first two (Michael Keaton) and love the new ones, only problem is, everytime I see Christian Bale acting as Batman, I feel the need to cough.

Superman is rubbish to be honest, I love the films, but for a bloke with all the powers of God, the ability to manipulate time, and, for some reason, talk in space, he does seem to struggle to fight a simple bald nutter.

Q.Best ever super hero film?

A.Unbreakable.

Batman, easy!! Although I also really enjoyed the Spiderman trilogy, especially number 2. I was definitely disappointed when I heard that Spiderman 4 was going to be a teen reboot!!

Superman has always been my fave character though, and really looking forward to seeing what the Nolan family can come up with in a couple of years :-)

The Dark Knight is far better than the best that the Spider Man series came up with (which would be the second movie in my opinion). Spidey just never really seemed to have a big enough threat to face, and i hated the redesigned green goblin.
The 2 iron man movies are decent though. Just to throw something else into the mix.

I think you're judging apples and pears.

DC comics (which thankfully the films are now more towards, unlike that comedy crap with Mr. Freeze) are supposed to be dark highlighting sometimes evil can only be dealt with a "dark knight" who can be hated. This was always aimed more at the adult market especially the films.

Spiderman (marvels and the recent films) is aimed to be accessible for children in that be responsible. Marvel have their own "dark" warrior in Wolverine and the punisher (whose films were really poor!)

So i think if you are old enough to be on here you'll love the new batman more than spiderman, but if you are younger spiderman is better :) (well thats my view anyway) .. Iron man 2 however beats them all!! (but is that just because they are starting to listen to fans on how these films should be?!?)
