With greenhouse and sheds being vandalised at allotments has anybody built alterantive structures that are cheaper and less likely to be targeted by vandals?
pictures would be great aswell if anyone has any.

I can remember somebody advertising on Sheffield FreeCycle for bottles to build a greenhouse and I always wondered what the finished article would look like - and how it was built - so thanks to your link I now know!!

I was going to say Freecycle.. I'm sure, since we live in a city that doesn't collect plastics, there'll be plenty of people who would like to see their bottles go to good use. Either that or approach a local school / community group to collect to collect them for you?
We couldn't afford / didn't want to replace the glass that got smashed when we moved the greenhouse (and the subsequent vandals) so we wrapped the frame in clear plastic from wilkos - not pretty and it needs fixing after heavy storms but cheap and clearly working - its a tomato fest in there.
I looked in the recycling bin at work today and saw a big clear plastic bottle ! Don't know whether to pinch it tomorrow

Only another 1499 to go! :hihi:
.
Just seen plastic tunnels in B&Q large sized for £10!!
Also seeds at B&Q are very cheap
Love that greenhouse!!! I am afraid to put anything on my allotment as I have only had it a week and some saddo has nicked my padlock and chain and broke in the gate!!
That greenhouse is amazingly cool - but I'd have given it an assymetric roof with a lower pitch and faced the large roof side to the south to cut down the bottle collection
what's this plastic from wilcos btw?
