Hi guys i know this has been done to the death and i have searched threads but....

It is renewal time for us and with Alberts premium being hiked up again by M&S now £33 ridiculous as we have never claimed i need to change.

I have read about some policies including dental but i cannot find them or maybe i am not understanding the policy information

Do any of you have insurance that includes dental treatment?

I don't mind paying a bit more when it covers this but M&S were wanting £33 a month with a £70 excess only paying a % of the vets fees and not covering any dental work at all even it is illness rather than preventative treatment :(.

Would appreciate any advice or recommendations. Have looked at AXA, petplan and direct line so far.

I haven't found anywhere that covers dental work. After reading a few I just thought that it wasn't covered.

I was under the understanding that insurance did not cover dentistry as well. In fact im sure the vet told me that but i could be wrong

If you manage to find one be sure to let everyone know its something i would be interested in looking into.

We only ever managed to claim it once (Ashia the wegie cat) and that was M&S (and only because the vet said it was not general dental issues but something medical). M&S were rob-dogs though and hiked their premiums up so we ditched the insurance for the cats

There are some that cover dental - there was a list of pet insurance providers in this month's Your Cat and some did cover dental. I think this was one http://www.petprotect.co.uk/TheRightCover/OurProducts/catcover.asp
