HI,

I was recently clearing out some old junk and found 24 One pound notes in crisp condition, and was wondering if anyone knew how much they are approxiamtely worth?

as leagal tender they are still worth a pound each and you can get your bank to send them off for exchange for money to the treasury.
Notes all have a promise from the bank governer on them and as such are legal tender for as long as sterling is this country's currency.

There are 6 for sale here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47399&item=3971434255&rd=1&ssPageName=WD4V) on ebay. There is still 9 days to run, but it could be worth watching to give you an idea.:)

im sure someone sold a pound coin not long ago for about 3.50

They still get used in scotland you know - so if you can get more than 1 pound for them I can think of a lucrative business venture.......:heyhey:

Or you could just use them to pay arsey taxi drivers (they look like fivers in the dark):hihi:
