Has anyone had any experience of recruiters constantly posting up the same job (or a number of jobs) on job websites month after month, yet when you apply for it they never get back to you? I appreciate they cannot contact everyone who applies for a specific job.

In my experience - one recruiter in particular has been advertising two or three jobs since the latter part of last year. I spoke to the recruiter the first time I applied for it and said I would be a very good fit. After that I did not hear nothing. Then they post the job again and again on various job websites.

My guess is that these jobs do not exist. They are IT jobs, and I have the experience in everything that they are asking for. I am not disheartened by it as it only seems to be one recruitment agency. All the others have treated me well to be fair.

Just wondered if anyone else has come across this.

They tend to post jobs that are no longer available just to get people to sign up with them, waste of time id say.
