Hi Everyone,
Basically, I am a 20 year old girl from Sheffield looking for a bit of creative output in the form of joining/performing with a band or group in the area.
I love all types of music and am interested in performing most genres. I have a partiular love for jazz and blues music and a couple of my idols are Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland etc etc. Having said this I have a very ecletic musical taste and would also be interested in singing for a group that has a more contempory edge. I very much admire the talents of women such as Gwen Stefani, Blondie and Regina Spektor among others.
I have been singing from a young age and have been involved in many different choirs/operatic societies and performance groups. I gained a B grade at A-level music, a qualification that included a very rigourous performance assesment for which I used my voice as my 'instrument'. Due to this I have a good knowledge of musical theory.
I am quite a livey girl, likeable (i hope!?) and pretty easy to get along with. I would love to get in touch with other like minded talent in the area and see if we can have some fun.
