My poor Casper must be feeling so unloved, poor boy!

Me and the OH are both cub leaders and are supposed to be going on camp for a week over August Bank Holiday. My mum said she'd have both of my dogs whilst I was away but she's had a change of heart now. She says Jenny's too noisy and chaces the cat to much and Casper's too bouncy and follows her around everywhere. Now she said she'd take Jenny at a push but that Casper needed to go somewhere else.

I'm sure he understood her because he looks ever so sad laid under the fan with his legs in the air and one paw over his nose! So what do you suppose the odds of finding him somewhere for a Bank Holiday weekend at this short notice? I almost daren't phone incase I can't sort him but if I cancel going to camp 20 children get let down as I'm needed for the legal ratios of adults to cubs.

Can't you take him with you? I bet he'd love it as much as the kids. My little love monkey's dad took their dog along to scout camp last year and became an instant hero:hihi:

I've begged and begged but the powers above say no because he's not insured and some kids are allergic. Poor baby dog.

EDIT: I'm sure the real reason is the kids love him more than any activity that can otherwise be dreamt up and it isn't great for attention spans!

awww! How could your mum not want Casper - he sounds lovely (and bonkers) Bit like my lot really - never a dull moment.
Hope you find alternative accommodation for him Helly xk

so are you camping in a concrete car park so the little darlings who have hayfever aren't at risk? and I hope you'll be indoors too... can't have anybody allergic to wasp stings falling victim to the great outdoors either

It is a bit of a funny rule, seeing as both Jenny and Casper have met all the cubs before and they all love them to bits as kids do. However, I do see their point a bit as if Casper was blamed for any accident or even (God forbid) hurting a child I would be in serious trouble. I'm more upset at the fact my mum has suddenly decided that my dogs aren't worth the effort :(
