Hi all

I am looking to buy a new PC (Around £500 mark) but dont fancy PCWorld...are there any other decent PC shops around Sheffield. I dont mind building my own PC from components but i need a decent place to buy them from!

Any ideas?

A =)

You could try my company's shop. Very PC Langsett rd hillsborough.

Drop by and have a look, I think we're awesome, but I'll leave it up to you to decide.

I always go to Universal Computers on St. Georges Close near Brook Hill roundabout. Excellent.

Be wary

for £545 (incl. delivery and VAT) I can get a pc of specs-

Athlon 64 3000,
Abit KV8 Motherboard (sound + Network)
512mb Crucial memory
Case, Keyboard, Mouse

ATI Radeon 9800
DVD R/w 16x
CD R/w 52/32/52x
120gb Seagate Barricuda SATA
17" TFT monitor
(knock off 70 quid for 16" CRT)

Obviously there are labour charges etc. but be careful what they try to sell you

You could always get a private computer builder to make you one *cough*

I also would recommend Universal for components or they build a PC to your specifications if you prefer. There is another PC shop just across the road from them but I can't remember what it is called.
